CLASS TOPIC: THE YAMAS AND NIYAMAS
The Yamas and Niyamas are the first two limbs of the eight limbs of Yoga. With five points each, the yamas and niyamas deal with good behavior toward others and disciplined actions toward Self. We will explore each one and discuss how we can be more mindful and intentional in our daily practice.
Be sure to bring a mat (there are some to borrow if you don’t have one), drinking water, and a journal for taking notes. Bring friends and family for a fun outing. Children are welcome, but must be mature enough to engage in the lesson and practice.
