Mental calm; serenity. Release from disturbance; quiet and tranquility.
Soul Liberation is an initiative to serve Black folks and BlaQue (Black+Queer) folx, two highly marginalized communities, in the areas of inner and outer wellness. The vision of Eternity Philops, Soul Liberation delves deeper into the Self and connects mind, body, and energy through the lens of Black culture and identity. And unlike many mainstream Yoga and wellness space that center only the body and movement, Soul Liberation focuses on complete Self transformation and empowerment by creating conscious union with all dimensions of our divine being: physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual.
The capacity to do something or to act in a desired way. The ability to control one’s life and claim one’s rights.
Open and welcoming to anyone of any background who wants to deepen their connection with Self, Soul Liberation encourages students and clients to acquire Self knowledge, engage in Self care, and develop Self love on a deeper level that affirms their essence and identity. Rather than strive to “not see color,” we embrace it! Only by acknowledging the fullness of our intersectional racial, cultural, and gender identities can we truly honor ourselves in our pursuit of wellness.
The power or right to act, speak, or think as one wants without hindrance or restraint.
Wellness is a vast area with many different components from around the world. Pulling from many different paths and traditions, Soul Liberation serves others with educational Yoga guidance, metaphysical energy healing, mindful meditation practices, and therapeutic life coaching. A variety of informed perspectives leads to a variety of potential paths, for there is no single path to truth and wisdom. Liberation is discovering your own!
