Soul Liberation Yoga & Wellness supports local Black visual artists in Charlotte Queen City with wall art to sell. I feature your creations on my walls for my students and private clients to purchase. This is an opportunity for free sales exposure of your work at a Black-owned business.
1. Fill out the form at the end of this page, and email images of the pieces you’d like to install. I will review your submission and will let you know if I’d like to move forward.
2. We meet for you to check out the space and hang your work (nail-free installation only).
3. We list your artist info, basic info about the art, the sale price, and your payment options.
4. If someone wants to buy your work, they send the funds directly to you and take the piece home!
Feature Fee & Length: There is no rental/installation fee for featuring your work, which will be for a 90-day period. After the 90 days, we will discuss whether to renew, replace, or remove your work. However, if you decide to remove your work before the 90 days have passed, you are welcome to do so. Should a better opportunity for you arise, you are not locked in to keeping your work at my location. I simply want to expose the work of local Black artists, and the benefit I get is having some dope Black art as decor.
Art Size & Install: Because it is a small, intimate space, I cannot feature exceptionally large pieces. I also prefer to have the work put up in a way that won’t damage my walls, as my goal is to feature a steady rotation of pieces. So works that can be put up nail-free if possible are preferred.
Art Price & Content : I seek “affordable” pieces in a price range that the average person could likely pay on the spot, so art that is many hundreds of dollars would not be suitable for this setup. I would like Black positive art, anything that expresses the beauty of Blackness in some way. I wish to avoid overtly sexualized nudity and hardcore violence. Aside from that, artists have free reign.
Submissions: If this opportunity interests you, please fill out the form below. I’ll review submissions and will get back to you to send images of the work you’d like to be considered. Keep in mind that while I wish to support Black artists, I will select only pieces that resonate with me and the energy of my space. So please don’t be offended if any of your current work is not chosen.
I thank you for your interest and hope to establish a positive connection with you!
